Genetic analysis of long-footed potoroo populations to support fire recovery and conservation efforts

Recent efforts to understand the impact of the 2019/20 bushfires on long-footed potoroos involved camera trapping, cage trapping and genetic analysis to understand the structure, fragmentation and genetic diversity of Victorian populations. In this project, the team conducted extensive genetic research, yielding some interesting insights to support ongoing conservation.
