New pea weevil PestNote available

Pea weevil is a pest of field peas during spring; brush-up on current best practice management with the latest addition to PestNotes southern.

While pea weevil (Bruchus pisorum) is typically more problematic in South Australia than in Victoria and NSW, this pest is established in all southern Australian pea-growing districts.

As there is nil tolerance for live pea weevil at grain receival sites, we encourage growers and advisors involved in field pea production to monitor for the pest during spring.

For detailed information on pea weevil, including biology, monitoring and management, a new PestNote has been developed. Click here to visit the pea weevil PestNote.
